EARLY AMERICAN TIN MERRY GO ROUND TOY.

A most unique form depicting a gentleman on a three wheeled base with a circular merry go round with three animals and a child behind him. When the toy is pushed along the floor, the platform would spin in a counter clockwise motion. Two goats and a dog with a basket along with a youth are on the platform. Toy itself and its form appear to be an original entity but there has been significant overall restoration to this toy. Still with this in mind, it is quite appealing and noteworthy. Perhaps the original maker was George Brown but no definitive attribution can be made. SIZE: 8-1/2″ l x 8-1/2″ h. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-13890 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 3257
