FALLOWS/GEORGE BROWN CIRCUS CAGE DRAWN BY PLATFORM ELEPHANTS.

An unusually large early American tin toy possibly by either Fallows or George Brown. The thought of combining a fabulous platform toy with a trainer along with mom and baby pachyderms to draw this over sized cage wagon boggles the imagination. Ingenuity transformed from reality to toy form! The cage wagon is truly oversized compared to any other circus cage wagon that is known to exist. It is almost absurd to think of placing a lion and a leopard in a cage together. The coloring on the cage is very unusual and a strange combination of colors yet visually attractive. Quite an impressive toy with an abundance of charm as well as presence. SIZE: 20-1/2″ l x 6-1/2″ w x 8-3/4″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good plus original condition. The cage itself appears to be in untouched condition, the platform toy has some paint/solder work at large elephants feet and yoke wires. 1-14199 (5,500-6,500) – Lot 3248
