EARLY AMERICAN TIN FIRE PUMPER.

A fine all original example in untouched original condition and appearing to have no repairs or issues. An eccentric axle would cause an iron weight to strike the bell as it was pulled along the floor. A fireman sitting atop the horizontal cylinder guided the twin horses to the fire scene. Unique in form, this must have been a somewhat inexpensive toy for the time as the toy has no name or fanciful stenciling, but still exhibits a great deal of charm and appeal. SIZE: 12-1/2″ l. CONDITION: As stated above, the toy appears to be in untouched all original condition. 1-14213 (3,000-5,000) – Lot 3246
