*FINE WINCHESTER MODEL 70 CALIBER 257 ROBERTS.

SN 230717. Manufactured 1952 with 24″ bbl. Bbl has traditional Winchester address and marked “Model 70 257 Roberts”. Traditional hooded ramp front sporting sight with sporting rear sight. Matte finished receiver with two holes drilled over chamber and two over receiver bridge. Traditional Winchester Model 70 stock. Checkered both forearm and wrist with factory swivels. Steel trigger guard and floorplate and checkered Winchester steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine overall, with virtually no finish wear on bbl. Receiver finish is superb with a very light witness mark from having had a scope mount attached at some previous time. Bolt is factory numbered very lightly to rifle and most all blue remains on extractor sides of bolt handle and cocking assembly. Buttplate is exceptionally fine with only a trace of wear at the very toe from storage. Trigger guard is equally as fine with only the slightest amount of edge wear on trigger guard itself. Floorplate is superb with no blemishes or distress. All screws are fine with no evidence of tool marks or distress. Rifle is missing follower and follower spring. Attached to this rifle is a Winchester Model 70 hand tag of unknown origin or time frame. 51033-41 TDW (3,500-4,500) C&R – Lot 3238
