SIX FRAMED SILHOUETTES OF CHILDREN TOGETHER WITH A FRAMED PRINT OF A SHEPHERDESS AND PIPER.

Late 19th and 20th centuries. The first, a silhouette of a young boy on rocking horse “leading a charge” with upraised saber as his father in top hat blows a bugle. The second, group silhouette of brother and sister posed next to a Gothic hall chair. The boy in cap with tassel, a ball on the ground beneath the skirt of the girl. The third, a whimsical silhouette group depicting. two sisters and their brother at play with dolls, hoop and other small toys. The young boy preparing to pull the pigtail of his older sister. Together with, three later framed silhouette groupings. The first a robed gentleman with conical hat, pipe and robe seated beneath a tree accepting a gift of garland from two children with their pet. The second depicting two witch-like figures on hillside engaged in a dispute with barking dog. The third, a group silhouette depicting a gentleman asking directions of two horsemen with church in the background. The framed color print titled “Pastoral Scene”, notated that it is taken from a watercolor found in a home in Southwicke, Massachusetts, depicting a shepherdess with sheep beside a young boy playing a flute. SIZE: Largest: 10″ x 12-1/2″ sight. Smallest: 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ sight. CONDITION: Generally very good with minimal, if any, toning.
