SN 45041A. Manufactured 1935 with 24″ bbl and chambered for the 22 Hornet cal. Has had a relatively contemporary Monte Carlo sporting stock attached utilizing the Winchester checkered steel buttplate, a steel pistol grip cap, and the Winchester Model 54 trigger guard assembly. CONDITION: Refinished overall to a high gloss finish. Rear sight has been replaced with an unknown sheet metal sporting rear sight with elevator. Left side of receiver has been drilled and tapped by an early Weaver tip-off scope mount and has five 8×40 screw holes drilled and tapped that now have plug screws installed. Bolt has had a custom bolt handle installed giving it a longer throw. Trigger guard polished in same manner as bbl and receiver. Contemporary Monte Carlo stock is of straight grained American walnut with a fruit wood forend tip with maple spacer. Safety has been cut for apparent scope use but is still functional.
