FINE CONFEDERATE “JS/ANCHOR” KERR REVOLVER.SN 6938. Cal. 54 bore. This is a fine all orig and matching, mechanically fine example of the most popular Confederate imported revolver during the Civil War. SN 6848 was the sidearm of Confederate Brig Gen Edward Porter Alexander, Chief of Artillery, Army of Northern Virginia. CONDITION: Very good to fine overall, mechanically fine, this gun was made as sgl-action. Strong traces of bright finish on bbl and frame with scattered staining and pitting. Markings are crisp and discernible with an especially crisp “JS/Anchor” and checkering and well fit stock which retains much of its orig varnish. 51550-1 JS (4,000-6,000) – Lot 3232
