1st quarter 20th century. Lot includes; One 8″ x 8″ Piute polychrome bird in basket. Two Piute basketry pitch covered water bottles, larger 11″ x 14″, smaller 12″ x 9″ has braided horsehair carrying straps. Late 19th century, 12-1/2″ x 13-1/2″ Eskimo covered woven in grass with minimal design. Along with three Native American reference books. CONDITION: Piute, finely woven, near mint condition. Water bottles, both good. Eskimo has detached lifting handle on top, various in-use wear on edge, stitch loss. 52009-1 (800-1,200) – Lot 3230
