MONUMENTAL SOMERS STAINED GLASS TABLE LAMP.

Contemporary Somers stained glass table lamp has linen fold glass iris flowers in orange, yellow and amber lightly opalescent glass with green, yellow and cream striated and mottled leaves against a light blue background. Shade is signed with applied brass tag “Original Somers Stained Glass, Deer Park, N.Y.” with another applied brass tag “1 of 1 Special”. Shade rests on a large bronze base with 4 decorated legs resting upon a bronze platform. Each leg is decorated with deeply impressed bellflowers with openwork design between each leg. Base has a 3 light cluster. It is finished in a dark brown patina with some tan colored highlights. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade: 28-1/4″ dia. Lamp: 41″ t to top of cap. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base has some minor roughness and discoloration to patina, otherwise very good. 5-69792 (8,000-10,000) – Lot 3229
