FINE NAVAJO “TWO GREY HILLS” RUG WOVEN BY BESSIE MANY GOATS.

1930’s-40’s, Southwest United States. The central elongated geometric medallion, a diamond medallion with lightning bold border at each end centered by geometric devices at the corners and quadrants all on a pale grey and ivory woven ground within an ivory arrow head border within a black outer border. SIZE: 4′ 4-1/2″ x 6′ 9-1/2″. PROVENANCE: Purportedly purchased in the 1960’s-70’s from the Harmon Estate, Henderson, Nevada. CONDITION: Rug exhibits small areas of weakness in stitching that would need minor restoration of tightening. No deterioration of thread observed, no insect damage, and no staining 52013-5 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 3210
