COLT MODEL 1861 NAVY CONVERSION REVOLVER. SN 3560. Cal. 38CF. 7-1/2″ round bbl. The number on the bbl has been struck in a much smaller die then those on the frame, backstrap and trigger guard. The ejector rod assembly was originally finished in blue and is probably a replacement. There is a ring around the outside of the bbl at the end of the ejector rod housing but does not appear to extend inside. “N.45. P.N.5 F.1882.” has been stamped in individual letters on the right side of the frame. CONDITION: The brass backstrap appears to have about 95% original silver, the iron trigger guard has traces of original nickel, the rear of the bbl has about 60% nickel, the front only traces. The cylinder scene is sharp. The grips have numerous tiny dents at the bottom but are still solid. 4-46357 FS136 (1,500-2,200)
