BRASS ADJUSTABLE DOUBLE STUDENT LAMP.

Second half 19th century, probably Connecticut. Wick adjuster dials marked “APOLLO DUPLEX E.M.& CO.”. Probably Edward Miller & Co. of Meriden, Connecticut. Of typical form. Each burner joined to a single horizontal arm centering kerosene oil font. All on adjustable central post. Raised on a weighted circular base. Lamp offered with two clear glass chimneys with beaded edge of period in “as found” condition. SIZE: 26″ h. 20″ overall w. PROVENANCE: Private central Maine estate. CONDITION: Surface with in use wear. Burners appear intact. Chimneys as noted. Good overall. 50647-20 (400-600) – Lot 3206
