FABULOUS FIVE PIECE CHINESE STERLING SILVER TEA SET WITH ADDITIONAL SPOON.

This ornate set has each piece marked with Chinese hallmarks. The kettle on stand also marked “Hong Kong”, and hallmarks for “Wen Ji”. Set consisting of: 11-3/4″ round tray; 9-1/2″ h (without handle) tea kettle on stand with burner; 5″ h teapot; 3-1/2″ h covered sugar; 2-1/2″ h creamer (teapot, sugar and creamer hallmarked “Yong Ji”); and 5-1/2″ Oriental style spoon marked “Sterling 950”. Each cover having ornate twig formed finials and branch decoration, the bodies having flowery branch designs with branches extending into the spout. each piece having an indented panel of naturalistic tree side showing knots and bark texture, and monogrammed “M”. Total weight 88 troy ounces. SIZE: As stated above. PROVENANCE: From a fine Connecticut home.
