PAIR OF GEORGIAN STYLE MAHOGANY BREAKFRONT BOOKCASES.

Mid 19th century, England. Each in two parts, the upper case with molded corners above a pair of astragal-glazed panel doors flanked by conforming single doors, on a molded plinth. The interior with fixed shelf and Moire silk, fitted to the lower case with four cupboard doors with molded panels and floral rosettes at the corners, all on a molded plinth. The bookcases with carrying handles on case sides top and bottom. SIZE: 54″ h x 45″ w x 12″ d. PROVENANCE: From a private Massachusetts collection. CONDITION: With original surfaces and rich patina.
