UPHOLSTERED AND CANED CHAISE LOUNGE IN THE DIRECTORIE STYLE.

First/third 20th century, Belgium or France. The chaise lounge in cream paint. The arched crest rail continuing to back-swept supports centering a pressed cane panel, joined to horizontal molded arms on molded supports, above the rectangular over upholstered seat with molded rail raised on tapering square legs terminating in Marlborough feet. Upholstered in a cream damask. Decorated overall with names and titles of politicians and locations. SIZE: Overall height is 34″ x 65″ l x 26″ w. PROVENANCE: From a private Massachusetts collection. CONDITION: Chaise is in structurally good condition. Painted surfaces now soiled and with multiple areas of loss and abrasion. 50800-152 (300-500) – Lot 3191
