EXTREMELY INTERESTING CARVED WOODEN CHINESE BOY.

All wooden carved doll of unknown manufacture reminiscent of Door of Hope dolls with swivel head and joints at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. Three-dimensional carving of the eyes is extremely realistic. The hair treatment is made to simulate a shaved head, however the hair in the center is molded and painted with a long mohair braided queue extending down the back. He also sports an elaborate costume consisting of a beige embroidered tunic, blue and white plaid pants, and a long straw cape tied around the neck. SIZE: 13-1/2″ t (34cm).
