POLICHINELLE ON CART.

Colorful pull toy of jester in cart. Traditional French figure of Polichinelle with lovely bisque head incised “FG” and having a hump on back protruding area at waist and peaked hat. Wooden cart is colorfully painted and is drawn by a papier mâché rooster. Item is propelled either by pulling or pushing the cart. SIZE: 18″ l (46cm) including rooster x 16-1/2″ h to top of hat (42cm) x 7″ w (18cm) including wheels. CONDITION: Paint work on rooster and cart still very good; Polichinelle’s silk costume has understandable age deterioration. 1-13702 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 3171
