TWO SMALL GERMAN DOLLS.

The slightly taller is a bisque socket head on a fully jointed composition body with straight wrists, with head incised “S&H Germany”. She has blue glass sleep eyes, open mouth with four teeth, an antique printed cotton dress, and an original blonde mohair wig. The other doll is unmarked and is an all-bisque with blue stationary eyes, open mouth with two upper teeth, with separately strung arms and legs, with molded and painted gold and black boots. She is sometimes known to collectors as a “wrestler”. Also accompanying the all-bisque are five woolen sheep (one with a broken head). SIZE: 9″ t (23cm) & 7-1/2″ (19cm) respectively.
