TWO GERMAN BISQUE CHARACTER DOLLS.Larger of the two is a bisque shoulder head by Gebruder Heubach on cloth body with bisque lower hands. He has squinty eyes and a crooked mouth and is sometimes known to collectors as “the spinach baby”. Smaller is a portrait of an older man by “Dressel” on a 5-pc composition body wearing original clothes. He is known as “the farmer” although the head is identical to the one used in the “Uncle Sam” doll. SIZE: Heubach: 13″ t (33cm). Farmer: 10″ (26cm).
