Late 19th – first third of 20th century. 1) An E. Howard & Co. open face pocket watch with 14K gold case, size 16S. Inside of back case marked “E. Howard Watch Co. Boston”. Movement similarly marked. Watch with serial number “1,228,113”. The porcelain dial with original blue steel hands and Roman numeral chapter ring with subsidiary seconds hand. Watch is stem-wind and stem-set. 2) Elgin Hunter case, 14K gold pocket watch, 10S size. The case nicely engraved with age appropriate wear and small dimples around the case edges. Watch with double sunk porcelain dial and original fine blued steel moon hands. Dial marked “Elgin”. Serial number on movement “3,006,087”. Circa 1888. Stem-wind and lever-set. 3) Elgin National Watch Company open face 14K gold filled pocket watch, size 18S. The watch with double sunk porcelain dial. Stem-wind and stem-set hands. The enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial with blued steel spade form hands. With beveled glass bezel. Serial number 4,951,227. Circa 1892. 4) Hamilton Watch Co. silver pocket watch. The silver case with monogram “ECL” within a diamond. The sides with brightwork of leaftips. The silver dial with Arabic chapter ring and secondary seconds dial with blued steel arrow hands. SIZE: 1) Dial: 4 cm d. Overall: 4-1/2 cm d. 2) Dial: 33 mm d. Case: 4 cm d. 3) Dial: 45mm d. Case: 57mm d. 4) Dial: 4 mm. Case: 45 mm. CONDITION: 1) Overall, watch is very clean and currently operational in running condition. With original crystal. Appropriate light wear and abrasion to case within normal parameters. 2) Condition of case as noted. Dial with minor hairline. Movement is non-working. Good overall. 3) Case nicely worn.
