CAST LEAD FOUNTAIN OF FIGURAL GROUP WITH SWAN AND YOUTH.

3rd quarter 19th century, American, possibly New York. Fountain in two parts, depicting young boy standing to left of swan figure, left arm extended toward upraised beak, right arm around lower neck of swan with outstretched neck, beak pointing skyward and open tubular end of fountain embedded within swan’s mouth. Figure’s wings are outstretched and posed balancing on its tail and webbed feet. Fountain now with natural grey patina with some verdigris. SIZE: App size: 46″h overall. 47″ w overall. 40″ d overall. PROVENANCE: From a private Massachusetts collection. CONDITION: Surface as noted. Youth with some open seam issues beneath right arm. Figural group will need some minor restoration and adjustments for reassembly. Otherwise good. 50800-4 (2,000-4,000) – Lot 3156
