17″ KATHE KRUSE “PEGGY” WITH ORIGINAL BOX.

An outstanding Kathe Kruse from the latter part of the 1940s, this doll is in virtually mint, unplayed with condition. She features a blond wig with a floral decorative wreath. Her linen and cloth body display virtually no dust or soiling whatsoever and her clothing and color are as vibrant as the day she was made. Doll retains not only her wrist tag, but an additional tag around her neck. Upon close examination head appears to be cloth/linen with a mask face painted finish to the front half. The box on this doll is outstanding and to use the term “like a brick”. SIZE: 17″ h. CONDITION: Doll and box overall are near mint. Upon close examination there is a minute scuff about 1/2″ above the doll’s left eye. Hardly noticeable, but should be mentioned. 1-14261 (800-1,200) – Lot 3156
