1) Yuan Period (1279-1368). Swan depicted with a water plant. White stone with areas of bright red. 2) Probably Han period, China. Bird carved in the round with a hole through its breast for suspension. Extensive inscription on either side. 3) Hand Period (2nd c BC-2nd c AD), China. Figure carved in the round. Gray calcified stone. 4) Warring state period (4th-2nd c BC), China. Carving with relief scrolling. Yellow white jade with brown markings. 5) Hung Shan Style, China. Stone of variegated celadon colors with areas of brown. SIZE: 1) 3″ l. 2) 2-1/4″ x 1-3/4″. 3) 2-1/2″ l. 4) 2-3/4″ x 1-1/2″. 5) 2-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: The personal collection of Dr. Helga Wall-Apelt.
