NORTHERN PLAINS BEAR SKIN GEOMETRIC DESIGN ROBE.Late 19th century, robe was found in a suitcase, part of Paul Dyck Collection which went to the Cody Museum on his death. He was the largest and most comprehensive collection in private hands of Plains material. The robe is very unusual being bear and appears to be Northern Plains with etched and painted geometric design in polychrome paint colors are white, red and yellow. SIZE: 7′ l (overall) x 68″ w (overall) CONDITION: Several holes and tear in areas where hide stiffened, most of the hide is supple, otherwise good. 50641-18 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 3148
