ENGLISH GEORGIAN SILVER PLATE WITH RUSSIAN IMPERIAL SEAL.London, 1776-77 by George Heming and William Chawner. The large plate with gadrooned border having a crest with two headed eagle with crown above. English hallmarked on the underside, also marked “12” on underside of outer rim. Also on the outer rim is punch marked with three Cyrillic letters and “12”, probably “TPL” which designates the type of piece within the Imperial Russian Service.
