A nice example of a French bebe with pale bisque and large blue paperweight eyes on a fully jointed French composition body. Commonly referred to as a “scrub mark” Tete Jumeau the lettering “Tete Jumeau” has been scrubbed off and oftentimes this was done to avoid price fixing or to allow a retailer to sell an item such as this at a cheaper price. She is attired in a white fanciful cotton dress she has only one shoe, being French marked with a 13 with a “B” and stamped “Paris” on the partial sole, and a blond human hair wig of newer vintage. Lacking partial ring finger on right hand and her right eye has multiple cracks but is intact. Overall a very pleasing and large doll that can easily fit into and be affordable to a collector of French dolls. SIZE: 31″ tall. CONDITION: Composition body in very good original finish with some chipping to paint finish on both hands.
