LOT OF 8 RUSSIAN AND EUROPEAN ENAMEL BOXES.

Late 19th/early 20th century. Five of the boxes are silver and three are brass or gilded in finish. All boxes share some form of enamel decorated finish. Most are executed in a style resembling cloisonne, others have solid enamel tops with underlying decoration. Most of the motifs are geometric but one box features animal decoration. Including a fine 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ silver hinged box with the cover having light blue engine turned enamel decoration with center pierced leaf spray. The interior having what appear to be French hallmarks and an illegible makers mark. SIZE: Smallest: 3/4″ x 1″. Largest 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ CONDITION: Boxes generally show very little wear and appear quite complete. There is no notable damage to any of the enamel decorations, some pieces show wear to the finish but no damage. 51628-2 (800-1,200) – Lot 3144
