TABRIZ RUG, SILK TABRIZ RUG, AND AN AFGHAN RUNNER.

Second half 20th century. 1) With rows of dense polychrome flower heads within foliate borders on an ivory ground within an indigo floral main border of similar design within dark indigo guard borders of floral trelliswork. 2) Silk and cotton blend Isfahan with a central Shah Abbas rondel on a dark indigo ground with a dense arrangement of overall floral vinery and sprays within which are the figures of antelope and other similar creatures all within a pale lavender main border with lacey and delicate floral design of similar color and form to the central medallion with terracotta and cream guard borders of floral vinery. 3) The Hamadan design runner, possibly Pakistan, with three aligned rows of polychrome flower heads, the center-most on a rose red field within multiple feathered borders flanked by the outer rows on indigo ground all within multiple polychrome serrated floral and lightning bolt guard borders. SIZE: 1) 2′ 9″ x 4′ 2″. 2) 4′ x 6′ 1″. 3) 2′ 8″ x 9′ 7″. CONDITION: 1) Well maintained with little if any wear, clean with good color, fringes and selvage intact, very good overall. 2) Rug retains full pile, very good. This rug has also been used as a wall hanging. 3) Very good, retaining full pile. 51899-8 (500-700) – Lot 3139
