FRENCH MUSICAL AUTOMATON.

Classic figure with flange neck, Jumeau head stamped in red in back “DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU 4”. She has a closed mouth, amber paperweight eyes, and well-painted lashes and brows. When the music is wound, she turns her head from side to side, and alternately lifts her right hand to powder her nose and left hand to look in the mirror. Costume is a deep rose pleated silk with lace overlay, matching bonnet and the wig is antique brown human hair. Shoes, socks, and base cover appear original and mechanism and music appear to be well functioning. SIZE: Overall including base: 18″ t (46cm). Figure: 14″ t (36cm).
