COLT ROOT REVOLVER. SN 1691, all matching. Cal. .31. 3-1/2″ oct. bbl. 2-line bbl marking with three plus signs. CONDITION: 40% blue, mostly on the left side of the frame, traces on the bbl. The cylinder has a brown patina but the patent marking is good. Traces of case hardening color visible on hammer and loading lever. Grips have about 70% of the varnish remaining but are well worn around the bottom, mechanically good. 4-46893 FS25 (1,200-2,200)
