MAN PEDALING AN AIRSHIP WHIRLIGIG TOGETHER WITH MAN IN TOP HAT WHIRLIGIG.

1) American circa 1935 whimsical manufactured example with good weathered painted surface. Largely intact condition. Aluminum and steel construction. Mounted to a cast iron “Star Sprinkler Corp.” bell cover. 2) Circa 1925 stylized elongated dandy with whimsical and pleasing attitude. Polychrome surface with brown hat, red jacket, white pants with blue stripe and black shoes. Mounted on a green faux marbleized base SIZE: 1) 38″ l x 33″ h. 2) 23-3/4″ h x 4″ d. PROVENANCE: From the personal estate collection of John W. Armiger Jr. CONDITION: 1) Some cracks to tail vane. General imperfections from the weather. 2) Good condition with repaired crack to one forearm. Front portion of shoes restored. 49055-61 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 3128
