CIRCA 1907 STEIFF BEAR WITH BUTTON.

This charming bear is five-ways jointed and made from cinnamon colored mohair, making him quite desirable from the collector’s standpoint. With tan pads and five shaped paws, long and narrow feet and a pronounced back hump. Stuffed with a combination of kapok and excelsior. Teddy’s face is detailed with a trimmed muzzle, black shoe button eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. His stitching has gently faded to shades of brown over time. Retains his original trailing “F” button as his Steiff ID. SIZE: Overall 10″ (25cm). Sitting: 7″ (18cm). CONDITION: Dusty paws, possible augmentation of stuffing in torso area and home-style restitching of back torso seam. Otherwise very good. 1-14271 (2,500-4,000) – Lot 3122b
