TWO MOHAIR STEIFF COLLECTIBLES.Lot consists of two items from the 1954-1964 time frame including a tiger cub and “Original Teddy.” Tiger cub is standing on all 4s, unjointed, and made from white mohair which has been vibrantly airbrushed with orange and then hand striped in black. His face is detailed with green and black pupil eyes, a hand embroidered nose, and clear mono-filament whiskers. He retains all of his original Steiff IDs including his raised script button, legible ear tag, and chest tag. this items was produced in 10, 14, and 17 cm from 1954-1975; this is the largest version. Original Ted is five ways jointed and made from beige mohair. He has a stocky build, prominent and fuzzy muzzle, felt paw pads, hand embroidered facial and claw stitching, brown and black pupil eyes, and 4 claws on each hand. Bear retains his raised script button and traces of his yellow ear tag as his Steiff IDs. SIZE: Overall 14-1/2″ (36 cm) long and 13″ (33 cm) standing and 10″ (25 cm) sitting respectively. CONDITION: Tiger cub in excellent condition.
