From circa 1900, this is a very early, tan felt begging Steiff dog on a wooden skittle plinth. With black button eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Small felt ears. Wearing a leather collar with a bell and sequins and beads. Produced before Steiff introduced its button in ear trademark. SIZE: Standing: 5″ (13cm). CONDITION: Light staining and foxing, collar with wear and losses, otherwise very good. 1-14290 (750-1,500) – Lot 3120h
