1930s ERA CHAD VALLEY TEDDY BEAR WITH IDENTIFICATION.

Teddy is softly stuffed, 5-ways jointed, and made from very thick, lush and vibrant gold mohair. He exhibits traditional English proportions including shorter arms and stubby hands. Teddy has flat cardboard lined feet, felt paw pads and black claw stitching. Teddy’s face is detailed with over-sized black and brown glass pupil eyes, a prominent black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. This bear retains his original Chad Valley “Hygienic Toys” button in his right ear as well as a tag on his left paw pad. SIZE: Overall 19″ t (48cm). Sitting 13-1/2″ t (34cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Hand paws with wear and some restoration, very minor felt issues with feet. Otherwise very good. 1-13826 (500-800) – Lot 3119
