VERNIS MARTIN GILT AND DECORATED CURIO CABINET.Late 19th century. Dome topped curio with serpentine glass door and side panels fitted with mirrored back and bottom with two plate glass shelves. Lower case with bombe sides and front decorated with a romantic scene of a family within a romantic landscape. Side panels with landscapes. The whole raised on angular outswept legs with cast gilt bronze mounts and sabots. SIZE: 71″ h x 38″ w x 17″ d. CONDITION: Old surfaces intact and with crazing. Some losses to gilt metal trim along borders of cabinet and additionally on trim to glass panel proper right side. Serpentine glass panel right side of panel absent.
