1920s ERA WHITE MOHAIR BEAR WITH PRESS AND RELEASE MUSIC BOX.

Shaggy white mohair musical bear, possibly made by Jopi. Teddy is 5-ways jointed and softly stuffed. Cream colored felt paw pads with no claw embroidery. Face is detailed with brown and black glass pupil eyes, shaved muzzle and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bear has working press and release music box in belly. SIZE: Overall 16″ t (40cm). Sitting 10″ t (25cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Significant playwear and mohair loss, especially around stomach area. A few areas of light staining, especially on lower half of bear. It is clear that this bear was a beloved childhood companion. 1-13847 (350-700) – Lot 3114
