*COLLECTOR’S LOT OF TWO 9 MM AUTOMATIC PISTOLS.

1) BROWNING HI-POWER. SN 170074. Cal. 9mm. Beautiful Belgian pistol with 4-3/4″ bbl, adjustable inverted-V front sight with serrated rear face and 50-500 Type II tangent rear sight. Hammer has rnd spur with a hole and pistol is mounted with checkered black composition grips. Accompanied by one 13-rd magazine with push button base. Accompanied by an orig Belgian board stock with blued iron and an attached tan leather holster with strap closure. Left side of buttstock has a small Belgian proof. Left front web of trigger guard is marked “SILESIA”. These were sold in W. Germany to the commercial market. Most of the examples in this country were sold to US service men who were stationed there in the 1950s . PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Appears to be new and unfired with 99% crisp glossy bright blue showing only faint sharp edge wear. Grips are equally new. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Stock & holster are equally new. 2) INTERARMS MAUSER LUGER. SN 11.013819. Cal. 9MM. 6″ rnd bbl with American eagle crest on chamber with toggle commercially marked orig Mauser in banner. Barleycorn front sight. Traditional 06 pattern grip safety, straw finished trigger, safety, takedown latch and ejector. Checkered light colored walnut grips. Bbl marked “9MM LUGER” on top and “MADE IN GERMANY” at rear of frame. Gun is offered in its numbers matching box with spare magazine, loading tool, cleaning rod and plastic Mauser hang tag. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Gun is as new with no indication of use. Traces of dried grease are present in protected areas with no determinable loss of finish other than where parts have operated, such as safety, toggle and magazine.
