LARGE AND EARLY GERMAN GOLD MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR.

Circa 1910. 5-ways jointed Teddy bear, possibly made by Bing. Pronounced back hump, long narrow feet, felt paw pads and black hand-embroidered claws. Signed on right paw pad by a member of the Steiff family. Face is detailed with black shoebutton eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. SIZE: Overall 25″ t (64cm). Sitting 16″ t (40cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Collar not original. Very loose joints. Nose stitching possibly not original. Wear and abrasions to muzzle and old repairs to paw pads with some foxing. Otherwise good. 1-13871 (1,000-2,000) – Lot 3110
