*◊ RARE MAUSER C96, PRE WAR LONG BARRELED BOLO WITH MATCHING STOCK, CASE.

SN 29799. Cal. 7.63mm. Extremely scarce Pre War long barreled Bolo with 5.5″ bbl having fixed front sight and slip in 100-1000 rear sight with grooved cursor and sight bar. Long extractor, 2-lug firing pin and small ring hammer. Frame marking limited to 2-line address on right side. Fitted with finely grooved walnut Bolo panels. Replacement lanyard ring. Accompanied by refurbished stock with refinished hinge and refinished, renumbered lug matched to the last 3 digits of the pistol. Major components rust blued. Extractor, cursor, bolt stop, safety are fire blued. Trigger, grip screw are strawed. Detailed disassembly shows all matching parts including the sight bar, firing pin, and each of the grip panels. Presented in an elegant, canvas covered hard attache case with leather handle, leather reinforced corners and dual keyed brass latches. Dark red velour lining with separated compartments for the pistol, shoulder stock and various accessories. Keys included. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Approx. 85-90% refurbished blue with toned thinning and a few small areas of etching, particularly inside the frame panels and on the trigger. Fire blued parts (except the safety) have been re-heat treated for enhancement. The sight bar has been repolished and the hammer subjected to a fire blue that has faded. Orig grips have been revarnished. Bright bore with mild etching and shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. VG stock. Attache case is nearly new.
