LARGE AND EARLY ALPHA FARNELL BEAR WITH PROVENANCE.

Lovely and important larger early Alpha Farnell bear. Teddy is 5-ways jointed and made from light blond mohair. She has typical features and proportions of early Farnell Bears including chunky limbs, smaller hands and wrists, and a prominent muzzle. With early “webbed” claw stitching on hands. Teddy’s face is detailed with oversized glass pupil eyes (showing the typical paint flaking off the back) and a hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bear comes with several photographs of the original owner as a child and a letter explaining the bear’s history. SIZE: Overall 26″ t (66cm). Sitting 20″ (50cm).
