LARGE AND LOVELY LATE 1920s ERA STEIFF BEGGING RABBIT.

Rabbit has jointed head and is made from light gold mohair. He has brown hand-embroidered claws on his feet. His pert ears are lined in wire and are posable. They are highlighted with a touch of brown and pink airbrushing. Rabbit’s face is detailed with oversized black and brown glass pupil eyes, a brown hand-embroidered nose and a black embroidered mouth. He also retains his original monofilament whiskers. Non-working squeaker in belly. Rabbit has his large trailing “F” button and fully legible red ear tag as his Steiff IDs. SIZE: Overall 19″ t (50cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection.
