TAMBOUR SECRETARY/DESK.

Massachusetts circa late 19th-early 20th century. Figured mahogany with elaborate inlays. This diminutive secretary stands on Hepplewhite legs with barber pole inlay. Three graduated cock beaded drawers with barber pole inlay and gold tooled leather writing surface. The upper section with inlaid tambour doors which conceal 4 small drawers above valanced letter slots. Eagle inlaid prospect door in center concealing a drawer below valanced letter slots. Frieze drawer above tambour has crotch figuring and barber pole inlay the top edge inlaid with complex inlay. SIZE: 46-3/4″ h x 34-1/2″ w x 18″ d.
