Cleaning rod, and front sight hood is also absent. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very good overall with moderate scattered spots of corrosion on forward quarter of metal parts with somewhat lighter corrosion and pitting to rear of rear sight. Stock has been renumbered on left side to match receiver number. Stock hand guard expertly repaired just to the rear of the forward band. Bore is dark in the grooves with strong rifling. A rifle with a very interesting history, presented to a man who was the Secretary of the Army during the Kennedy administration, Deputy Secretary of Defense during the Johnson administration and Secretary of State during the Carter administration. 50630-4 JWK58 (3,500-5,000) C&R – Lot 3092
