LOT OF FOUR FINE AND RARE QUIMPER POTTERY PIECES.

Lot including: 1) 16″ high magnificent vase with domestic scene depicting two Breton’s and Bretonne in an interior setting, surrounded by decor-riche motif with cobalt blue ground and gold and orange foliate scrolls. The backside having a large spray of flowers. The base marked “Henriot Quimper 154” and also signed at base of scene “Henriot Quimper”. 2) 15-1/2″ high bulbous vase decorated with Breton and Bretonne and coat-of-arms surrounded by a deep blue decor-riche motif. The backside having a floral spray of pink flowers, the base marked “Henriot Quimper 13” in deep blue. Also, signed beside Bretonne “Henri Quimper”. 3) Large 10-1/2″ high x 11-1/2″ wide two-handled bulbous vase. The front showing a Breton playing a flute to a Bretonne sitting with a basket. The backside with floral sprays and the rest with blue foliate scrolls on a yellow ground. Two-handles in top rim with light blue sponge decoration. Marked on base “HB Quimper 972″ (circa 1910’s-1920’s). 4) Outstanding 9-3/4” heart-shaped, 8-hole tulipiere decorated with a Bertonne on one side and floral spray on the other. Mark to base “Henriot Quimper France” (circa 1930). SIZE: Sizes as noted above. PROVENANCE: From a private New Jersey collection. CONDITION: 1) Very good to excellent. 2) A couple of minor glaze chips, generally very good. 3) Very good to excellent. 4) Minor roughness and small chip to base, otherwise very good to excellent. 50592-9 (3,000-5,000) – Lot 3092
