*◊LOT OF THREE WWII GERMAN P38 PISTOLS.

1) WALTHER P38. SN 2234c. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Marked on left side of slide “P.38”, SN, “ac 45”. Marked on right side of slide eagle “359”. None of numbers are matching. Eagle “140” proof on left side of frame. Slide, frame and bbl are all proper “c” suffix guns. Gun has period mustard plastic grips with US 7th Army insignia on either side. “jvd” marked magazine. Spare magazine marked “P.38v”. Black leather flap holster marked on back “jwa”/”4”, “P.38”. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Gun has been chrome plated. Flaking to chrome, mainly on grip strap and trigger guard. Both mags also chrome plated. Markings legible. Chip out of rear of right grip at top. Hold-open does not catch. Bore has strong rifling with very light pitting. Action functions well. Holster solid with strong stitching, crazing and scuff marks on front. 2) WALTHER P38. SN 08780. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Walther banner, zero series. Marked on left side of slide Walther banner, “P.38”, SN. Marked on right side of slide eagle “359”. Bbl number is not matching. Checkered black plastic grips. “P.38v”, eagle “WaA135″ marked magazine. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Gun has been plated. Markings clear. Grips with light handling marks. Bore very good with minor areas of pitting. Good working order. Mag also plated. C&R 3) MAUSER P38. SN 6194i. Cal. 9mm. 5” bbl. Marked on left side of slide “P.38”, “byf/43”, SN. Matching SNs on slide, frame and bbl. Slide and bbl have been chrome plated, plated gold accents on smaller parts. Front grips strap has been stippled. Metal grips with horse head and Mexican eagle on either side. Magazine marked “P38”, eagle “359”. With hinged wood box. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good as refinished, markings weak on slide. Some flaking on right side of slide at front.
