LOUIS XV STYLE MARQUETRY GILT METAL MOUNTED CENTER TABLE.Late 19th early 20th century, probably France. This nice bench-made example with rosewood, kingwood, walnut, satinwood, marquetry top. The center with classical foliate and floral filled urn within scrolling borders. An additional border of four floral filled cornucopia, a shell cartouche at each side, with an additional border of C-scroll vinery. The turtle shaped top bound by cast gilt metal border of leaf tips projecting above the conforming serpentine apron fitted with single drawer and with marquetry floral vinery. Raised on angular cabriole legs each headed by a cast gilt female bust, the legs terminating in cast brass sabots. SIZE: 30-1/2″ h x 41-1/2″ l x 27-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Table retains original untouched surface, small veneer loss upper right corner of drawer front. Otherwise very good. 51977-1 (700-900) – Lot 3086
