CIRCA EARLY 1930s STEIFF BEAR WITH BUTTON.

Teddy is 5-ways jointed and made from blond mohair. Bear has tan felt pads and four black had claws on each paw. Non-working squeaker in belly. Teddy’s face is detailed with black and brown glass pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. This bear has a distinct, thoughtful, pensive expression to him. He retains his trailing “F” button and tiny remnants of his red ear tag as his Steiff ID. SIZE: Overall 13″ t (33cm). Sitting 9-1/2″ t (23cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Both foot pads replaced. General all over playwear. Slight mohair thinning on nose area, otherwise good. 1-13870 (800-1,200) – Lot 3086
