FINE BURLED WALNUT CARVED TILT TOP BREAKFAST TABLE.

Third quarter 19th century, England. Large serpentine burled shaped top with serpentine sides and ovolo corners, with matched bookend veneers and molded edge above a conforming molded frieze. Hinged and tilting on a ring-spool-and bell-turned foliate carved pedestal raised on four arched and outswept molded legs terminating in rolled feet with scrolled volutes. Each leg carved with acanthus leaves. The whole raised on original porcelain casters. SIZE: 30″ h x 58″ l x 42-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Table retains original surface with fine patina and rich color. Top professionally re-glued at seam and stabilized with butterfly cleat. Old repair to platform of base at juncture of bolts. Pedestal and legs intact with no restoration or damage.
