1) WALTHER P38. NSN. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Major parts are unmarked with exception of standard safety markings. Eagle 359 inspected on bbl lock. Slide, frame, bbl, right grip, and magazine are cut away to show function. Brown Bakelite grips. Cutaway magazine is marked “P.38v/ac” on left side. This gun is described on p. 234, pictured on p. 233 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. III by Warren Buxton. Accompanied by later blue leatherette case with Walther banner on lid. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fine, with most of the finish. Some very light areas of wear and surface rust. Excellent bore. Excellent grips. Excellent working order. Case is fine. C&R 2) WALTHER P5. SN S324. Cal. 9mm. 3.5″ bbl. Marked on left side of slide SN, “Carl Walther/P5 Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do.”. Marked on right side of frame eagle N with “ie” date code. Marked on front under bbl banner Walther “9mmx19”. Left hand eject. Frame, bbl, slide, and grips are cut away. Cutaway areas highlighted with red paint. Walther banner “9×19” marked magazine. Accompanied by orig black plastic box, manual, plastic cleaning rod. SN of gun listed on end label. No mention of cutaway on label. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine, with minimal handling marks. Bore is dirty.
